Here are some pictures of my Gibson Custom Shop ES-175SP. I wrote about the guitar previously and talked about how it*s a unique ES-175. Unlike most Gibson ES-175*s, this one only has one pickup. The finish on this model is a custom finish and not like other ES-175 sunbursts as well.

So, as requested in another post*s comment section, here are some more pics of my 2009 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Korina 1957 Reissue. I decided to take it to my studio since I thought it would look good against the aged hardwood floors.

As I posted last week, I went out and tested a EHX Big Muff Pie and a Analogman Sunface NKT 275. The one fuzz box I wanted to try but didn*t because nobody had one available locally was the Keeley Fuzz Head. When I was listening to samples of fuzz boxes, the Keeley was actually my favorite out of them all. But obviously you can*t tell anything about how somethings really going to sound off of a YouTube video. Even trying them out in the store only gives you a little idea of how it will work for you. It*s not until you get things home and use it with your gear that you*ll really know how you*ll like it.

After Effects Bay*s post yesterday I wrote about being inspired to check out the EHX Big Muff Pie fuzz box. Well, today I went down to Haight Ashbury Music Center to give it a try along with an Analogman Sun Face NKT 275. I did some research last night on various fuzz effects and after hours of watching YouTube videos, I narrowed my selection down to the EHX Big Muff Pie w/ Wicker switch, the Analogman Sun Face NKT 275, and the Keeley Fuzz Head. The only one I couldn*t test today was the Keeley Fuzz Head as they were out of stock.

Since I*ve been posting about buying my guitars lately I might as well round it out with what has been my favorite guitar to date (although the Les Paul I bought last weekend is nipping at its heals for that title)
I wasn*t planning on buying a new guitar (I think all my guitar purchasing stories start that way). At the time I already had two guitars (a Gretsch 5120 and Rickenbacker 330) and as I*ve said before, one guitar is more than enough for a beginner, let a lone two# let alone three (and let alone four now)!
But, I love guitars and had recently heard about Rockers Guitar in San Francisco so I thought I*d check them out. It turns out they were having a really good sale because they are trying to get rid of all their inventory so they can focus on making guitars rather than selling other manufacturer*s guitars.
The list of guitars I want is endless and their stock seemed to be endless as well. But, the guitar I fell in love with was a Gibson ES-175SP.
